Description
This has been designed as a simple-to-use, easy & no driver installation required setup for cue-based playback systems, including QLab, MultiPlay, Show Cue Systems.
This device has three simple, always illuminated, buttons: Stop, Pause and Go. It connects to a PC or Mac via a simple data-capable USB-C cable and requires no external power. The device appears on the device as a MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) input under the name “DPW Trigger Box”.
It’s up to you to map the MIDI buttons to the correct functionality in whichever software you’re using, however this is generally a simple task which will take about 2 minutes. I have created a guide of how to get setup when using the most common theatre playback software, QLab: https://tech.dawsonpanterwray.co.uk/dpw-trigger-box
The USB-C port is located directly on the back of the device between the Stop and Pause button. The USB-C cable is not supplied with the product.
The device also has a magnetic pad on the bottom surface to enable it to be easily stuck to magnetic surfaces including sound desks, tables etc.
